APW - Hamilton, 11J, "Constant, St. Louis" marked mvt, "Mermod Jaccard & Co, St. Louis" marked dial, 18S, 14K gold original Mermod & Jaccard signed case made by Dubois Watch Case Co, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#137014. Gross weight of assembled watch 81.5 dwt (126.9 g). A very rare watch, the total production of this nickel damascene hunting case version of the 11 jewel Hamilton is estimated to be only 90 made. From the well-known Hamilton collection of Robert Bennett of Olivehurst, California.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, mild fine scratch left of barrel arbor, few micro-fine scratches elsewhere; dial with two hls at perimeter between 3 and 4, mild fine scratch at 12:30; fine hands, minute with oxide and finish loss; case shows light wear, dent to band at 11, smaller dent to band at 1:30, reduced engine turning detail with full loss at portions of shoulders and which is most notable at upper front, cuvette has been polished possibly for removal of a past presentation engraving; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
